What is a Gidget? You may think some strange gumby form of cartoon character or a new word I just made up, “on the phone with worldwide dictionary currently to accept my new word, Gidget.” Yet Gidget is neither, not many knew the real name of the chihuahua.
with all the overly large ears and tiny body, named closest taco bell. Most of us understand that cute and incredibly charismatic Taco Bell dog and their commercials, usually running with a taco in the mouth. I am certain this doggy didn’t eat many tacos because this chihuahua lived to the ripe old age of 15.
Gidget was well loved by “her” fans not to mention the business Taco Bell for all the money she brought in. Gidget had been a she, even though portrayed as a he. Using the catchy slogan “Yo quiero Taco Bell!” She charmed and brought smiles to millions worldwide. Gidget was pampered and lived a good retired life in the end, with parts in a few movies and shows. She suffered a stroke at her beloved trainers home, and she will be sorely missed by many.
Healthy Gidget Tacos
In tribute to this furry wonder, I am just making tacos. Tacos which are healthy yet delicious! We all want to live for the ripe old age that Gidget lived but in human numerous years of course. So healthy is on the menu for my tacos. Get started with whole wheat pita pockets, a different variation for the original taco shells, which contain empty calories and fat building carbs. Wraps can be used also just be certain they’re the not the “white death” type meaning white flour which is not good for the body in any form or food substance.
I really like to place some heart friendly, grape seed oil or extra virgin olive oil inside my frying pan when adding my pita shell. Grape seed oil, is better for you if offered in your kitchen area, but extra virgin olive oil works well also. “No butter or margarine should ever be used.” I am a company believer against anything that seems like lard. Believe that each and every time you take in butter or margarine it begins a deadly accumulation inside your arteries, blocking the circulation in your heart and ultimately causing strokes or heart attacks. If this feels greasy, looks greasy, why could you consume it as it’s not useful to you.
Fry up your pita shell till it’s golden brown, then put on a plate, spoon in the pita an organic salsa, just as much as you prefer or as little, salsa is non-fattening as long as you don’t utilize the commercial kind but organic homemade type that one could discover in health food stores. Allow it to be mild or spicy, spicy for burning more calories. The hotter your food the better it burns calories, remember my lesson on anabolism? Foods that burn off pounds? Otherwise we shall make a list of the number one foods to have within your kitchen that will assist you lose weight inside my next article!
Prior to deciding to fry increase your pita shell, cut up into slivers, green, red and orange peppers, fry them up a bit in your oil. Then add them in to the pita pocket, I recommend before the salsa. I really like to use extra lean ground turkey or even sausage from my organic health food store, spice it with spaghetti spice. If you don’t know what spaghetti spice is, it’s a mix of everything yummy in spices that you could place on your spaghetti meat while you cook it brown. Ask your grocer about spaghetti spice as it’s fbasse in many groceries. Or use taco spice. If you’re a vegetarian you may use a meatless type or even just load your pita with veggies and also chili beans or even rice, spice it with taco spice for flavoring, cook them before hand.
Ensure your meat is well cooked and browned before spooning some into your pita shell. Furthermore, i prefer to cut up half a tomato, and even some zucchini. And That I fry up my veggies together before and after that in a clean pan, I fry up my pita shell. Brown your meat in advance needless to say as this will take the longest in order to cook.
It is a delicious, healthy and great way to get your protein and veggies into your diet, and can be eaten for a tasty lunch or great dinner for friends and family with either mock Mojito’s or real alcoholic Mojitos.’
